Meaning of Viksit Bharat
The term ‘Viksit Bharat’ means ‘Developed India’. Viksit Bharat 2047 represents the Indian Government’s vision to transform the county into a developed entity by its 100th independence in 2047. The four pillars of Viksit Bharat are Yuva (Youth), Garib (Poor), Mahilayen (Women) and Annadata (Farmers).
The vision of Viksit Bharat is that of a Prosperous India (Smaridh Bharat) in harmony with modern infrastructure and holistic nature and giving opportunities for all citizens of all regions to reach their full potential.
On 11 December 2023,our beloved Prime Minster and a true Global Leader Shri Narendra Modi ji launched the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ initiative via video conferencing. At the launch, he highlighted the role of educational institutions in nurturing the domain of individual’s personality development and stated that a nation becomes developed only when there is development of its people. He also underlined the need to align the energy of next gen youth, student of every university and rural ecosystem towards achieving the common goal of Viksit Bharat.
The Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth was launched to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat, which demands a firm belief in India’s destiny, unwavering dedication and a profound recognition of the people’s vast potential capabilities and talent, particularly the youth.
The PM also extended an invitation to the youth to engage in the transformative agenda through the youth movement known as ‘Ideas from Youth for Viksit Bharat@2047’. He urged everyone to go beyond their limits and contribute their ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Shri Narendra Modi ji also suggested running special campaigns in every educational institution in India to connect more youth with this campaign. Subsequently, the government launched the ‘Ideas Portal’ related to Viksit Bharat to provide suggestions on five different themes.
The government will form a high-powered committee to extensively consider the challenges arising from quick population growth and demographic changes. This committee will make recommendations to address these challenges comprehensively relating to the goal of Viksit Bharat.
Viksit Bharat 2047 Registration
A dedicated web page has been established to give ideas and suggestions for achieving the visions of Viksit Bharat 2047 of shaping a developed India by 2047. The process for registration and providing suggestions and ideas to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat are as follows:
- Step 1: Visit the MyGov portal.
- Step 2: Click on the ‘Share Your Ideas for Viksit Bharat’ button.
- Step 3: Enter your name and mobile number/email ID and click the ‘Log In with OTP’ button.
- Step 4: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number/email and click ‘Submit’.
- Step 5: Select the participate as ‘Student’ or ‘Non Student’ and enter the required details, such as education/occupation, name, gender, age, mobile number, email, and address, and click the ‘Confirm and Proceed’ button.
- Step 6: Select one or more of the themes to share your idea on and provide your idea or suggestion towards making India a developed nation and how to achieve it and click ‘Submit’.
Viksit Bharat 2047 aims to make India a developed nation with economic growth, environmental sustainability, social progress and good governance. Any individual can propose his/her ideas for developing India and achieving the vision of a developed nation or Vikist Bharat by 2047 on the MyGov portal.
